We’re thrilled to share some truly heart-warming news: Dolly and Keef have found their forever home!

You might remember this lovely pair from our Summer Appeal "When Life Doesn't Always Go To Plan". They came to us after their owner was sadly involved in a serious car accident. Keef, a gentle soul, had been adopted years ago. When his canine companion passed, Dolly joined the family and brought light back into his life. But when tragedy struck, both hounds suddenly needed a safe place—and thanks to your support, we were there for them.

We told you they were waiting for their forever home... and now, they've found it! Their wonderful new mum and dad were so committed, they travelled all the way from Oxfordshire to meet Dolly and Keef several times before finally taking them home.

After just a week in their new home we received this update.

A week in and both settling well. Dolly is a dream, the most beautifully natured girl! Just a little ray of sunshine. Keef has also settled really well, obviously he is still the nervous little chap he has always been. Things that have freaked him out so far are sneezes, hollyhocks and cyclists!

They are settling into the new routine and adapting to their new surroundings. Keef sleeps at the end of our bed, this is obviously what he is used to and we are fine with this - he doesn't stir all night. Dolly has a lovely comfy dog bed next to me. She is not a fan of the stairs but can manage if we put her harness on and go up and down with her. They have had lots of little local walks (on lead). They are eating well, it seems a spoonful of Butchers Tripe mix stirred into their biscuits is acceptable (for now anyway). All good!

Thanks to EVERYONE who has already donated to our Summer Appeal, we were there for them when they needed us the most. If you haven't yet donated there is still time, Dolly and Keef may be safe, but there are still many other hounds that will need our help in the future. YOUR donation can make the difference.
