Ensuring a Brighter Future for Our Furry Friends!

A topic that is close to our hearts, as spaying and neutering play a crucial role in preventing dogs from ending up in rescues like ours. By taking this responsible step, you're not only contributing to the well-being of your own dogs but also making a positive difference in the larger community. Here's why:

1️⃣ Curbing Overpopulation: Spaying and neutering help control the population of pets, reducing the number of homeless dogs in rescues. It's a simple yet powerful way to combat the heartbreaking issue of rescues being full-to-brimming and having to turn dogs away.

2️⃣ Health Benefits: Beyond population control, spaying and neutering offer health benefits to our furry friends. It can reduce the risk of certain cancers and other illnesses, and even potentially behavioural issues, ensuring a longer, happier life for our beloved companions.

As a responsible Rescue, we eliminate the risk of any dog we home creating more of an issue in the world of rescue by neutering them before they are adopted. In the rare instance this can't be done (too young/in season/not well enough etc), it is written into the adoption contract that the adopter will ensure the dog is neutered at an appropriate point in the future.

Therefore, we are not only rescuing that dog, but we are preventing their potential offspring having to be rescued too.
